Featured MOTC Artists

Sarah Ann

Growing up in New Mexico in a family of multimedia artists provided opportunities for me to explore many different creative mediums. My love for the ocean brought me to Half Moon Bay in 2015 and I have become passionate about woodworking. I have developed a deep appreciation for the coastal redwoods and I am particularly inspired by marine wildlife. I create my sculptures using primarily locally sourced reclaimed redwood and driftwood and I feel truly honored to work with such special organic materials.
Jennifer Clark

Jennifer Clark

Jennifer Clark of Half Moon Bay is a professional fine artist and photographer who finds inspiration in nature and technology, transforming "What if?" into "How does she do it?" Using her own drawings, paintings and photographs of flora and fauna, she creates stunning abstractions of color and shape. Best of all, Jennifer’s work is designed to be worn, to drape your table for a party, or even to hang as unique wall art.
Marilyn Johnson

Marilyn Johnson

Owner and jam-chef Marilyn Johnson comes from a family of farmers, so she knows how to source high quality, local, organic ingredients for her Spread The Love Jams and Jellies. By shopping and foraging locally, Marilyn captures the bounty of the region in her products as she highlights some of the best of what we grow here.
Jill Quigley

Jill Quigley

Bringing the beauty of the Coastside into your surroundings, Jill Quigley creates Coastside sea glass art using genuine sea glass collected locally. Soldered items are lead free and created using a "stained glass" method. Mosaics are glued onto glass forms and grouted.

Bryan McClaine

Bryan McClaine spent much of his younger years as a snowboard pioneer in Tahoe and Mammoth and then a commercial fisherman and dog musher in Homer, Alaska. He has been an inventor, creator, maker and artist since he's been a kid. He has always made handles for knives and designed many a blade, but after several years working at the Half Moon Bay Feed and Fuel, and then COVID hit. He had an opportunity to "forge" out on his own and actually start creating his own blades from start to finish. He customized his workshop at home into a bladesmithing forge and after battling the CZU Lightning Complex Fires in 2020, created the name Fire Creek Forge (FCF) as he fought the flames coming down the creek by his house. Bryan lives in Loma Mar with his wife Lisa, who helps with the business's website, Instagram and marketing, and their Australian cattledogs, Ruger, Blue and Coyote. Loma Mar FCF creates one-of-a-kind custom made blades. The steel used in the blades is 5160 spring steel. It is reclaimed from the leaf springs of trucks. The handles are naturally shed elk antler sourced from the Pacific Northwest. We create culinary blades and blades used for the outdoors. Our blades are meant to be used, will last for generations, and are a combination of function and beauty.

Tanya Fischer

As a craft and art-loving child, art school was clearly in my future. After exploring all corners of the visual arts, I became fascinated with botanicals and opened a boutique flower shop in San Francisco. For my next adventure I immersed myself in the technical aspect of the apparel world. Surrounded by talented textile designers, I discovered I would be happiest devoting my days to crafting imagery that brings joy, not only to myself, but also to others. I have been told my personality shines in my artwork, which is inspired by my travels, love of cooking and cocktailing, nature, and overlooked everyday objects. My work is meant to be showcased in the home, on fabrics and apparel, and any other surface that craves joyful and uplifting imagery. I love all mediums, but mostly work with ink, watercolor and digital illustration. I am fortunate to live on the beautiful coast of Half Moon Bay, California with my supportive husband, two beautiful daughters and a very sweet, Fox Red Labrador Retriever.
Randall Reid

Randall Reid

My work is created on the potter’s wheel, and fired in both electric and gas kilns. I make the glazes used on my work. The glazes are food safe and very durable. The decoration on the surfaces reflects the beauty that I am surrounded by. I have been a potter on the coast since 1978. I have shown my work in many festivals including the Pumpkin Festival four times, as well as Made on the Coast since the beginning of the locals' block event. I look forward to setting up a potter's wheel and giving demos during the day. My Process: I create work on the potter’s wheel and decorate the pots with slips, drawing and glazes. The pots are fired in two ways - one is at a stoneware temperature (2200) for food safe items, and the other is in a process known as Raku.
Dawne Hornung

Dawne Hornung

Dawne Hornung creates unique, handmade pieces using natural surfaces such as seashells and time-honored techniques like decoupage and gilding. Dawne has lived on the coast for over 30 years and has been in the craft business as well.
Casey Neth

Casey Neth

Casey Neth is a lifelong, Half Moon Bay local. She created Layers Of Intention during the beginning of her Master’s degree program in Mind-Body Medicine nearly three years ago as a grounding tool, through the creation of jewelry and her Reiki practice. Now as she enters her Ph.D. program in Mind-Body Medicine at Saybrook University, she still finds comfort in creating pieces of jewelry that are layered with intention through the metaphysical properties of crystals.

Jennifer O'Quigley

I have lived on the Coast for over 15 years and it is where I was first introduced to the magic of working with clay. I make whimsical ceramics that are both functional and evoke a smile. I create bowls, plates, cups and the occasional sculptural vase. I have a background in graphic design and I use this element to create unique pieces with underglaze and pattern.
Hannah Anderson

Hannah Anderson

Hannah Anderson is a local stained glass artist. She is the recipient of Made on the Coast’s 2021 Emerging Artist Grant. @handersonarts
Jill Impink

Jill Impink

Jill Impink's company, Love Stretchy, makes all-natural, small-batch dog treats in Half Moon Bay. Her passion is providing delicious, healthy, preservative-free treats you can feel good about feeding to your fur babies! They donate a portion of all sales to animal rescues. Love your dog; buy them treats.

Stephanie Arbuckle

I'm Stephanie, Coastsider for 23 years, mom to a son in college and a furry, old dog. Sewing and fabricating fun stuff is my passion! I've been sewing since I was a little girl; my mom taught me how to make Barbie clothes and I also took sewing in school. I started making hats when I lived in SF because I needed something fashionable and functional to wear in the drizzly fog. My craft has grown into trendy bucket hats, decorated brimmed hats, and fascinator style headpieces, all hand and machine sewn and fabricated by me. My aesthetic is whimsical meets boho, or basically whatever inspires me! I love all things French, pumpkins, Coastside vibe, Kansas prairie vibe, and vintage. I started making Halloween hats and headpieces because we live and celebrate in the pumpkin capital, and they're one of my favorite things to make. I recently started designing and making pillows and stuffed pumpkins, as well as other seasonal items, always something new. I LOVE creating things and participating in markets!
